not to be a grinch, but do we have to kill so many trees on christmas? these 55 images of discarded xmas trees are from just a 45 min. walk around park slope in brooklyn. i don’t know. maybe it’s because i just saw avatar and the most horrific thing [spoiler alert!] is when the corporate soldiers down the massive sacred tree. grumble.

it’s here? it’s here! issue 02. this book looks at the current state of folk-inspired craft all over the world. cover / feature article artist andrea dezsö created a cover of custom hand-painted tiles for us. as usual edward addeo did a beautiful job of shooting many of the pieces in the mag. check out the weekly updated online version too (soon to have a blog).

check out the cover & some of my favorite spreads… the launch party for the magazine is going to be june 9. issue 1 is about africa, and it turned out beautiful. this is oversized: 10″ x 15″. more spreads after the cut.
